In the period 7th to 11th of March 2016 Greek expert Mr. Dimitris Tsotsos and Italian expert Mr. Romano Ruggeri within mission 1.3.4 provided 2 trainings, 2 days each, as follows:
- 8th – 9th of March: training in Veles for inspectors and permit writers of Northeastern & Eastern regions on the sectors quarries/mines and pig & poultry farms.
- 10th – 11th of March: training in Tetovo for inspectors and permit writers of Polog & Skopje regions on the sectors landfills and iron & steel electric arc furnace (EAF) installations.
Operators from installations belonging to those sectors participated as well, sharing their experience and participating in the discussions. The group included central and local environmental inspectors, as well as local permit writers.
For each of those sectors presentation and discussions took place on their usual processes, environmental impacts, relevant EU legislation, Best Available Techniques (BATs) to prevent pollution, reference documents available (factsheets and checklists delivered within this project, BREFs) and self monitoring requirements.
The 7th of March was used to prepare last arrangements for the 2 sessions delivered.
