In the period between 27th – 29th of July 2015, Dutch expert Mr. Rob Kramers and German expert Mr. Horst Büther adapted the risk assessment method IRAM prepared by the EU IMPEL network to the existing situation and information available in the Republic of Macedonia, to use it as a key tool for risk-based inspection planning.
During the meeting with RTA Counterpart and Leader of Component 3 currently information available to environmental competent authorities regarding emissions and discharges from installations was discussed, and they prepared a draft list of risk assessment criteria with corresponding weights to be included in the IRAM software for inspection planning in the Republic of Macedonia. The software was tested with data available from a number of existing installations. Fine-tune list of risk assessment criteria and risk-matrix-based approach were presented to RTA Counterpart and Leader of Component 3.
Information related to this output will be included in the draft inspection manual delivered in mission 1.2.3.
Programme for the related mission 3.1.1 (“Analysis of the current management information and reporting system (MIRS). Elaboration of corresponding report”) and agenda for the next mission 2.1.6 were discussed as well with the RTA.
